Leucan Reading Challenge

Read together. Make a difference.

Bring your class or school together around books and a cause that matters. With the Leucan Reading Challenge, students work toward reading goals while your school community raises funds to support children with cancer and their families.

Make the Challenge your own. Students can choose what they read, and Leucan provides resources to help you get started.

How it works

  1. Register your group and create an online fundraising page.
  2. Set reading goals with your students and track their progress.
  3. Invite donations by sharing your group’s fundraising page with your school community.

Support for your classroom

You don’t have to plan everything from scratch. Once you register, Leucan will send you an organizer’s guide, a reading tracker, teaching resources, and fundraising tools and tips. The teaching resources can help you introduce Leucan’s cause and talk with students about empathy and helping others.

Make reading your own

Let students choose: Make room for novels, comics and other age-appropriate reading they enjoy.

Discover something new: Introduce a book, author or genre to your class.

Bring stories to life: Try a quiz or activity inspired by what students read.

Talk about helping others: Use Leucan’s resources to guide a classroom conversation.

Celebrate progress: Recognize students as they work toward their reading goals.
